How preschools need to implement health and safety norms for reopening their centres As we near the new academic year, there is hopeful excitement in the preschool industry. Schools await the clamour of children back in their classrooms and if the second spurt of Covid-19 cases can be controlled, we may soon see preschools reopening.
In a 'Back to School' survey we conducted this month with our parent community (2000 respondents), while over 60% of those surveyed shared their concerns or feedback, over 85% were open to us reopening by June 2021.
Parents today realize that schools do much more than teach children how to read, write and count. With the right curriculum and learning objectives, in-person classrooms prepare children to face real-life challenges in the future by equipping them with the skills to be 'lifelong learners', which is especially important in today's context.
In the past few years, conversations around homeschooling used to arise within discussions among parents. But whether prepared or not, the pandemic introduced this mode of imparting education quite overnight.
